PROTESTING NATO'S ASSASINATION OF COL MUAMMAR GADDAFI

NAIROBI
31st October 2011 ..

..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................We the citizens of Kenya,
Awakened to the spirit of Africa that has resisted all forms of aggression and attempts at disintegration,
Connected to the struggles of our fore bearers who took on the might of those seeking to colonize us
Recognizing our contemporary heroes in their sacrifices for the greater emancipation of humanity
Committed to the continuation of the struggle towards the attainment of the ultimate destiny of the African people
Ready to sacrifice our own generation for the true freedom of our sons and daughters
United in our grief and concern for the current state of affairs that now sees the continent face the threat of a new form of submission,
Wish to categorically and emphatically state that:
1. We are greatly and absolutely shocked by the open and summary execution of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, the great leader and visionary of the People’s Jamahiriya of Libya and the bearer of the spirit of the African people towards the ultimate unity of the land.
2. We consider the absence of protocol, dignity or justice in the handling of the life of a leader of his status as an insult to Africa. It is also a clear show of the motive behind the events in Libya, an exposure of the hands behind the propaganda that has muddied his name and a clear pointer to the voice behind the command to end the life of this African icon.
3. We are appalled by the recognizing by the Kenyan authorities of a band of disorganized thugs as a legitimate government and their allowing the office bearers at the Libyan Bureau in Kenya to fly the flag of this “fronters” of the African invasion, even as the true leader of that country was still alive.
4. We demand the immediate closure of the Libyan Embassy in Kenya, a recall of the Kenyan Ambassador to Libya and a complete severance of ties with any foreign imposed regime in this country until such a time when common sense and proper diplomatic procedure shall assure the people of Africa that they are dealing with a legitimate and a people mandated government of the land of Libya, devoid of any foreign impositions.
5. We ask the people of Kenya join the rest of Africa by observing 5 minutes of silence at 12 o’clock on the 12th of December (Kenya’s Jamhuri Day) as a show respect to the founder of Libyan Jamahiriya.
6. We would also like to remind Kenyans of the sequence of events leading up to the assassination of the great leader and that it was the so-called NATO forces that orchestrated the passing of deceptive resolutions at the UN (resolution 1970 and 1973) which they reinterpreted as a cover to destroy the Libyan systems of governance, economics and infrastructure, well beyond what has ever been allowed by any multi-lateral institution at any time in history.
7. We realize with absolute clarity that Col. Muammar Gaddafi was killed in a conspiracy by the following countries:
i. The United States of America
ii. France
iii. Italy
iv. Britain, and
v. Portugal

8. We are aware that other countries may have played a hand but responsibility lies greatly on these 5, since they are the clear hands behind:
I. The Constituting the so called National Transitional Council (NTC) made up of Libyan-American operatives, loyalists of the former monarch- King Idris, and other disgruntled elements within Libya who were unappreciative of the advancements made under the Jamahiriya system.
II. Pushing for the recognition of this illegitimate band as the government of Libya well before the situation was beyond negotiation.
III. Arming of a group of hoodlums and thugs by giving them sophisticated weapons and on-field training and technical support, and even further supporting their incompetence by providing air support in dropping over 25,000 bombs on largely civilian targets.
IV. The Open and flagrant scramble to secure Libyan oil by senior officials of these conspiring states and the guaranteeing of reconstruction contracts to corporations owned by these countries.

9. We condemn in the strongest terms possible all those involved and ask that the peoples of the conspiring countries hold their leadership to account for these deeds, and further that, if the existing international institutions fail to act on these crimes, then we, the African people, shall consider the United Nations (UN), the International Criminal Court (ICC) and any other entities involved, as puppets and images of the enemy which should be done away with for justice to prevail in the world.
10. As Africans, we appreciate the efforts made by Col. Gaddafi towards uniting Africa. We fully appreciate the Sirte Declaration, developed under his auspices (in the very place where he was executed) and its continuing transformation of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) into the African Union (AU) and progressively into a unified Africa, as envisioned by all the African greats, living and dead, on the continent and in the Diaspora.
11. We also appreciate his material support to the liberation struggles in Africa as has been widely been acknowledged, including by Nelson Mandela, among others, whose freedom struggles were contemporaneous to the leadership of Col. Gaddafi.
12. We are in awe of the advancements in the quality of life of the Libyan people and as Africans we all aspire to achieve the same for ourselves in terms of universal housing, universal healthcare, universal education (to the highest level) and sufficient social security to all those who yet to engage with the commercial system.
13. For these and countless other achievements under his leadership and through the observance of the 3rd Universal theory as expressed in the Green book, and for his resistance to Western Imperialism amidst insurmountable odds, we hold Col. Muammar Gaddafi as one of the greatest African leaders who ever lived and see his killing not as the end of an era, but as the freeing of his spirit of liberation to enter into the heart of every freedom fighter on this continent.
The blood of Col. Muammar Gaddafi has now signed the declaration of war against Imperialism and all enemies of African unity. His vision and works must now be realized in the everyday lives of all African people.
It is now time for all Africans to awaken to this struggle.
Long live the spirit of Gaddafi!
Long live Africa!
